Your Government-Run Healthcare At Work

A friend and her husband both lost their jobs (excuse me, joined "funemployment") and recently found out she was pregnant. Until they get new jobs, she's stuck using government health services.

Now several months pregnant, she woke up "spotting" this morning and doesn't know if the baby is okay. She called and tried to make an appointment at the government-run clinic she was told to use, and they told her they don't have an opening for her until March. I repeat: they refused to see her for at least another month, even though she's worried she may be losing her baby. The government-run clinic doesn't care if this baby lives or dies, because her problem doesn't meet their scheduling needs.

I'm blessed with a good job, so I'll be paying out of pocket for an ultrasound this morning to see if the baby is okay, but I'm still pissed.

This is the kind of health care Democrats want foisted on all of us?

Screw that. I'd rather see these politicians aborted first.
