Hot Air: Tomba Kids

Bryan could have--and I'll argue he should have--named this post something else.

How about Why We Fight.

This is what I want you to think of when you hear Democrats in the House and Senate (along with the Republicans defectors) talking about defunding the troops and argue against the very surge of troops so many of them supported until Bush agreed with them.

Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer and so many others argue that they have the views on the Iraq War that they do "because of the children." Which children? These that they would abandon?

Those brown "children" weren't hatched by Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer or any other god fearing American, I mean, good little progressive breeders so why should we care?

Out of sight, out of mind....

Plus those Irakkki Children aren't nearly as valuable as progressive offspring. You know why? 'cause progressives can split atoms, with their minds...

Not even the lowly Democrats would defund the troops. My understanding is that they were looking for ways to not fund the 'surge', thus forcing it not to happen.

I don't expect anything from the left, but Bush has to change this failed strategy. The best option right now would be to divide Iraq into three and move our troops to the new borders. Just keep them separated and let each side create their own government.

"Not even the lowly Democrats would defund the troops."
Your faith in the Donks is misplaced. Defunding operational funds is EXACTLY what some of them (Kucinich) are proposing. The same money that get's repair parts for vehicles so they don't break down in a kill zone. The same money that replaces bullet-proof glass when they get shot out. Its also the same money that buys information and influence. Where do you think those blankets they're handing out came from? It wasn't Code Pinko that bought them.

Excellent point, Bob. I excerpted and linked from my Tomba Kids post.

I do. I take them at their word. And why shouldn't I after what they did to south Vietnam in 75'?

This batch is far more vicious than the ones in 75'.
