Let Them Eat Cake...

...or custard.

Vice President Joe Biden called the manager of a custard shop outside of Milwaukee, Wisc. a "smartass" after the man asked him to lower taxes. Biden made the comment after the Kopp's Frozen Custard shop manager told him that his dessert would be on the house if he lowered taxes.

"What do we owe you?" Biden is heard saying in footage captured by WISN-TV.

"Don't worry, it's on us," the manager replied. "Lower our taxes and we'll call it [the custard] even."

"Why don't you say something nice instead of being a smartass all the time," Biden said a few minutes later.

Biden had walked in to Kopp's mistakenly asking for ice cream instead of custard.

So let me see if I have this straight: A businessman gives the VP a free product and suggests that it would be a good thing for the Administration to lower taxes on that, and other, businesses. In response, the VP is insulted and angered and calls the businessman a "smartass."

There was only one ass present at that little bit of social interaction, and he certainly was not, and is not, smart. Why, one wonders, is the mere idea of lowering taxes like sunlight to a vampire for Democrats?

Why, one wonders, is the mere idea of lowering taxes like sunlight to a vampire for Democrats?

Because the vast majority of the Democrat constituency consists of people who, one way or another, lives off those taxes. Which is why public sector salaries and benefits are roughly double that of the private sector.

And, like vampires, Democrats spend much of their time converting healthy individuals to their parasitic life. Only a few ask the question: when everyone works for the public sector, just who pays for all of this?

Has Biden ever actually done something productive for a living, something which he paid taxes on which were not from tax money to begin with? The other problem is so few of the parasites have ever had their actual hard earned productive money stolen by people like themselves. Beyond, they are not even required to follow the very laws they impose on the rest of us. It even seems as rape and murder are quite legal for them.

Smartass indeed. What is that about pointing a finger at someone else? Ah right, there are 3 more pointed back at the pointer.

Translation:

“If you don’t shut up, lay back, and learn to enjoy it… you’re just a troublemaker, and we’ve got no time for you”

And typical of dumb people to lash out like that when they’re embarrassed- what a schmuck Joey Plugs truly is

The VP of the United States answer to a business manager pleading for the lessening of an oppressive tax burden is called a "smartass"?

Biden has disgraced the office and the executive branch through this language and behavior and should be forced to publicly apologize and resign.

What do you expect when the little people get uppity? Peons, peasants, serfs, chattel, call them what you will, but they have no right to give their lords and masters backchat.

Put this incident up with that heroic Etheridge bravely assaulting a citizen and see what the Dems really think of us. And keep voting for them, chumps.

When it comes to disgracing the executive branch, Bill Clinton set a pretty high bar. If he wasn't going to resign over lying to a federal grand jury, you can sure be that Joe Biden isn't going to resign for being rude and out of touch. And who is going to make Biden apologize? "Kick Ass" Obama?

Another example of why picking Plugs to be VP is the most astute political move Skippy ever made. One hell of an insurance policy against impeachment, or anything else. . .

The bad thing is that the business owner is an active Democrat.

Which is worse? Being a smartass or being a dumbass?

Posted by: SouthernRoots at June 27, 2010 03:56 PM

To Hatless Hessian: He disgraced the office before he even entered it. Doesn't this guy know when to quit? He contiually makes comments and embarrasses himself. Maybe he's the one who needs the teleprompter.

If the businessman is a "smartass," what does that leave Biden ?

Not quite. The businessman offered him a free product in exchange for Biden's support for lowering taxes.
Biden refused, and rather bluntly so.

I'm surprised we've not since heard of the businessman being accused of attempted bribery of a government official.
