A Message To Public Sector Unions From a Real Person

Jeff Soyer lives in the real world, and he could care less about your fake hardships. He has real problems, and doesn't want to listen to people complain while clearing close to $100K/year in salary and benefits.

Then Jeff shouldn't listen and take care of that very expensive cat.

5, 10, 15 years ago, nobody gave a hoot about public employees. NOBODY! During a great economy they are the only idiots who would take the job. During a bad economy, well...it's all about perspective is it not? And misery loves company.

I made a career choice at 22, and still remember friends admonishing me for enlisting into government service. Telling me I could make three times the money, entry level, at 'Eastern' or 'Pan Am'. At 22, I didn't care if people that cleaned the planes made more money than me, I was interested in changing the world (that didn't work out so well). Besides, government pensions were usually better than the private sector.

Well, the first friend blew his brains out on the sidewalk of Eastern headquarters in Miami, and the second friend went native with the Auron-Wendat Nation in Manitoba.

And I, apologize to everyone I meet for my career choice.
