Boomer U.
Jason Smith at Generation Why? has been tracking the Joel Hinrichs suicide bombing incident since the beginning, and passes along new information today. A Norman, OK bomb expert states he does not believe that Hinrichs' death was a suicide as widely reported, but an accidental detonation just 200 yards from a football stadium packed with 80,000 people.
There seems to be more to this story than meets the eye. Read the whole thing.
In reading the story one comment draws attention and that is that the student went to a mosque for information on the explosive. There does not seem to be information on the guys religion of choice but he clearly is hanging with the Muslim groups. I don't know about your religion but when I used to go to the Methodist church, we did not have information on how to kill people. This points to my concern about what in the hell are we doing. I have stated before and will again that our enemy is Islam. Yet our government will not state that nor will they make the effort to seperate these people from normal society. Instead every citizen in the US is subjected to repeated violation of the Fourth Amendment from the airport to the mall. Note in the description of the explosive that it is not made of gunpowder yet we spend millions on machines to find trace amounts of nitrates. It would seem that a terrorist would wash with a solvent before boarding a plane. Much effort is expended looking at all Americans in airports and elsewhere in order not to offend the people that hate us. If we are going to continue this war then it seems we need to identify the enemy and deal with them. In my mind the enemy is Islam and so all who expouse to that creed need to be isolated and restricted in movement and leave the rest of us alone! This may sound bigoted as that has been used lately but bigots are those that hate without reason, we have reason.
