The Class of Kos
The sewer elves of the Daily Kos—the same "progressives" that wanted to "out" Chief Justice John Roberts' four-year-old son Jack—are back in the slime, trying to claim that new Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin's son Trig isn't hers.
They're trying to claim Palin's eldest daughter is actually the mother of Palin's youngest child.
They just can't seem to accept that people unlike themselves might actually chose to bring a Down's child into this world, instead of terminating it as an inconvenience... or as Obama might call it, a punishment.
She was at a Governor's Conference the day her water broke. How'd she fake that?
Posted by: Sara at August 29, 2008 08:13 PMThere's monkey cage at the San Diego zoo. The residents keep themselves entertained by playing with their genitals, shrieking at . . . whatever, and slinging poo at passersby. The Left in microcosm.
As a mother, I'd actually think more of her if she had done this. That's probably why I don't think she did.
Posted by: Trish at August 30, 2008 12:01 AMSome of the posts are hilarious. In one thread someone posted a picture of Palin when she would have been 7 months pregnant and a big debate ensued about whether she could possibly be pregnant and look so good. Many said "no way." What they didn't mention is that the daughter who was supposedly pregnant was in the picture too and she was obviously not pregnant. Too funny.
Posted by: Lorie Byrd at August 30, 2008 01:08 AMThey've probably been watching Desperate Housewives too much...

This isn't surprising coming from the crowd that touts, as one of the reasons for supporting abortion, "Well, when their body is ravaged by nine months of pregnancy, they can have a choice." 'Cause pregnancy is, you know, like a disease that ravages your body. They think she should have looked fat, pale and sickly.
In any case, there's a breathtaking amount of ignorance floating around on that one Kos diary.
Posted by: Oyster at August 30, 2008 07:16 AMWomen almost only have children with Down's Syndrome once they reach their 40's. Don't the dems read medical journals?
Posted by: Tom TB at August 30, 2008 09:17 AMThey've finally uncovered the real mother of John Edwards' baby!
Posted by: Jim Treacher at August 30, 2008 11:38 AMI just read somewhere else that one loony was putting her down for breast-feeding the baby. Well, if she breast-fed the baby, that pretty much settles the issue, doesn't it? (Not that there was ever a real issue in the first place.)
Posted by: Trish at August 30, 2008 03:13 PM'Cause pregnancy is, you know, like a disease that ravages your body.My wife is 7 months pregnant. I don't see how that description is, in any way, inaccurate. Posted by: jpe at August 30, 2008 04:22 PM
jpe--
as a formerly pregnant woman, I do hope you're joking.
CY: "people.. might actually chose to bring a Down's baby.."
are you advocating CHOICE?? Way to go. Great for her - and all who can and do make the choice she did. Now leave me alone so I can choose what I want. Why is that SOOO hard to understand.
Republicans love to be "anti-government" - except when it comes to religion and becoming rich - then all the intevention the better! Hypocrites to a nauseating degree.

Real choice means choice for all, including our children. You don't have choices if you've been killed in the womb.
Legal abortion is the death of choice.
The likelihood of a young mother giving birth to a downs kid is very small. However, Palin must have known the extremely high risk of a downs baby since she is over 40.
Posted by: Corey at August 31, 2008 04:31 PMTrish,
abortion is a tragic choice indeed. However, I disagree with you, obviously. I dont think a 6 week embryo is a child - sorry. However, a 6-month one can be. And there lies the dilemna for me, personally - how I reconcile them is personal, how the government does is intrusive - no matter how its done. Tough issue. What I do know is that I don't want a politician beholden to religion I don't follow making that legislation on my behalf. Hence I vote against Republicans, almost always.
