Bald for a Cause [Bumped]

St. Baldrick's Foundation raises money to find cures for childhood cancers. One thing they do to raise money is to find gullible, big-hearted saps willing to shave their heads in exchange for donations to the cause.

I signed up this afternoon after a co-worker said he'd chip in some money to see me get my head shaved. I'm sure every bit of money helps, but I'd like raise more than ten bucks.

If you have a couple of dollars laying around, please consider making a donation.

Thanks!

I did this several years ago - managed to raise a few hundred bucks.

The women who did it, though, raised thousands.

My youngest son and I have done it for three years now and its an amazing event. He's a tremendous fundraiser and last year raised almost $3,000.

Just remember, its only hair and you're making a world of difference to children with cancer.

This will be my 3rd year doing this. I've raised $1715, $1309 and $1803 this year (so far). It is an absolutely worthwhile cause, and I encourage everybody to find somebody to make a donation to...the next victim might be your child or grandchild.
